The Bar:
Outside: Located on the corner of Artesia Blvd. & Inglewood Blvd. lies this great little dive. Bright red exterior with your standard beer neon on the front window. Shares a wall with a vape shop for all your vapor needs.
Inside: As soon as we walked in, we knew we were home. The smell...of what looks like a great dive. Not a bad smell by any means, but if you've been to a good dive, then you know exactly what I am talking about. Stale beer, cheap perfume... and the over whelming smell of Axe body spray stuck in my nose holes, from what I though was a light dusting, earlier.
I have always been a fan of a dive with shuffleboard and this place does not disappoint. Very nice table with electronic scoring (get the pucks from the bartender). Pool table to the left ($.50), straight cues, flat table. 17 bar stools and 4 high tables. AMI Bar-link jukebox.
The Crowd: Not much going on when we arrived. A couple of cougars, who were dressed like this was a pre-game stop, but were still there when I returned 5 hours later, and couple of guys in the back, one which was the owner. Pretty quite place. I returned around midnight for a few minutes, mariachi music filled the air, still pretty empty inside... had a beer and split.
Prices: $7.00 heavy pour premium cocktails, $4.50 domestic bottles, $5.00 Fireball, $5.00 well drinks.
Restroom: Take a deep breath prior to entering. That's all I have to say about that.
Bartender: This evening was Sissy.
Closing statement: Good spot. Had a good time, definitely plan on returning in the future.

We rate Thirsty Club a 5 out of 5.

ON HIATUS

Yeah, we haven't done shit since January. Picking up a new position at work has caused me to slack on the exploration of new dives, because honestly, going to the local watering hole is easier that traveling across town for a cold one. The lack of motivation to explore is high, especially when no one wants to go. It is difficult to check out a new establishment on your own, so if anyone is game, let me know and we'll go out and rock it.
In the meantime, keep on keepin on. Enjoy those dives and feel free to send me your own reviews. I will be glad to post them on your behalf giving you full credit as a guest author.

Take care fellow dive bar enthusiasts.

The Bar:
Outside Located in a strip mall as most dives are. Tattoos, Massages, a Liquor store, and a bar... one stop shop. This bar, easy to see, with brightly colored signage out front.
Inside: Nothing divey about this place..yeah...right! This is your ultimate neighborhood dive. Lit only by neon signs and tv's. A lot of tv's. The seating capacity is probably about 40 people. Plenty of room for your whole crew.
The Crowd: A lot of suit and tie when we first arrived. More women than your average bikini bar and a group of guys wearing matching flannel shirts. Everyone was cool. Laid back place.
Prices: $15 pitcher of Shock Top, $6 shots of Fireball, $5 tall cans of PBR.
Entertainment: It's a bikini bar. What more do you need? Seriously though, 3 pool tables ($0.50), 13 TV's, AMI Jukebox. Free popcorn.
Restroom: The diamond plated death traps are becoming a trend. This was the most intense one we've seen yet. Relatively clean, minus the over flowing trash can. The door has a lock, which is useless since the door doesn't latch. If you got to drop a duece, there is a nice spot right across the street to slide into.
Bartender: Did not catch the names of the ones this evening. The manager, Nick, told us they are new to Pump Room and one is fresh to the bartending job in general. Both beautiful girls.
Closing statement: Other than the super over priced everything, this was a good spot. We recommend pre-gaming prior to your arrival so that you don't spend a fortune. We had a great time and plan on returning soon.

We give the Pump Room a 4 out of 5
