I wasn't planning on a review of this bar when I got there but the manager was so nice to us that I thought I would give his bar some love!

A few friends and I drove from Atlanta, GA to St. Petersburg, FL to see our friends band play at The Local 662. This bar is located in the Downtown area of St. Petersburg. We arrived there about 6pm, there were a few men sitting outside smoking, one of them says "hey how did you get a DDC shirt already?" DDC is the band we were going to see. We explained that we are from Atlanta and drove down here to support our friends. Turns out he was the bar manager and invited us in to have a round on him!

When we got inside I knew I would like this place. It was nice and divey! Music playing loud, AC blasting and they served Sailor Jerry Rum! We ended staying until close... about 3am!

The Inside: A long open bar with a stage and open floor in the back. There are 2 pool tables in the middle. On the right is the bar with about 12 bar stools. On the left are several tables and bench seating. You can also smoke inside!
The Crowd: We just happened to be there for a Punk/Oi! show. I'm guessing on a normal night, you'll see a bunch of punk rock kids. We were so lucky to see a few Juggalos that night! And I kinda felt like I was in Alabama.
Service: Service was awesome. We were served quickly and with a smile every time!!
Prices: Cheap and easy (just how I like my dates) Tall boys of PBR were only $3. Wells $4 and the good stuff was $5
Entertainment: They have a stage and a huge dance floor. Bands play here often. Mostly punk. Oh and there was a dude with a laptop playing some songs from YouTube during the day. They also have a couple of pool tables.
Restroom: There were 3 single person bathrooms. Kinda dirty, but isn't that what you would expect?
Closing statement:  All in all, this is a fun place! I'd go back if I ever decide to head back to the hot and sticky St. Petes! If you are in the area, check them out!
